Family Camp was founded in response to a need for practical venues for foster parents to obtain continuing education credits necessary for maintaining their home’s certification.
Foster parents bring their whole family–biological, foster, adoptive or otherwise–for a long weekend of workshops, family fun and community building. Kindred Matters volunteers provide supervision while parents attend trainings from experts on different topics to add to their education and skills as foster parents. When not attending workshops, families are able to participate in different camp activities together and build community with other families who understand the journey they are on.
Held annually over Memorial Day Weekend, registration for Family Camp opens in February. For more information about Family Camp, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
